Infrastructure professional targeting AI Infrastructure & Governance and Infrastructure Management roles. At Exclaimer I deployed Claude Enterprise, built a local LLM service for confidential data, and put Microsoft Purview governance over both — plus owned vendor contracts, incident management, and cost reduction across our estate.
About Me
I'm a Senior IT professional based in Romford, London, with over 7 years of hands-on experience running and improving enterprise infrastructure — and a growing record of leading AI infrastructure initiatives from research through to production. I'm now targeting Infrastructure Management and IT operations leadership positions, where I can pair hands-on technical judgement with ownership of delivery, vendors, and governance.
My foundation covers the full infrastructure stack: Palo Alto and Cisco network security, Azure and hybrid cloud, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management at scale. Through it I've operated environments where reliability carries direct financial consequences — hedge fund and fintech platforms supporting 13,000+ users, 50+ sites, and multi-million-pound infrastructure decisions, including an on-prem-to-Azure migration that saved £3.2M.
My current focus is AI infrastructure at Exclaimer. I set up Claude Enterprise as our standard frontier model — covering deployment, access policy, and cost controls — and personally trained teams to adopt it in day-to-day work. Alongside that, I researched the local-model landscape and designed and implemented a local LLM service for confidential data, so sensitive workloads never leave our perimeter while routine work continues to benefit from frontier capability.
Crucially, I wrapped both in governance: I deployed Microsoft Purview across Claude and our local model deployment — data-loss-prevention policies, sensitivity labelling, and audit trails — so every AI interaction is classified, logged, and enforceable rather than ad-hoc. That combination — build it, run it, govern it, train people on it — is what I want to bring to an Infrastructure Management role.
Deployed Claude Enterprise with user training, built a local LLM service for confidential data, and enforced governance through Microsoft Purview.
Background supporting hedge fund and global financial services environments where uptime, auditability, and security are non-negotiable.
Led on-premises-to-Azure migrations at scale — including a project that saved £3.2 million in infrastructure costs.
Deep expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, Cisco ISE, and policy-driven network security — extended to AI data flows.
Technical Skills
Hands-on expertise across networking, cloud, security, and automation.
AI Engineering
Building Exclaimer's AI infrastructure and governance stack — private models for private data, frontier models for everything else.
Career History
7+ years across enterprise, fintech, public sector, and charity environments.
Impact
Measurable results delivered across enterprise and fintech environments.
Supported and led a full on-premises to Azure data migration, reducing data centre operational costs by £3.2 million while improving system latency and user accessibility.
Built a fully automated Joiners, Movers & Leavers web application at Exclaimer within the first month — cutting the manual JML process time by 80% and saving significant engineering hours weekly.
Designed and implemented network infrastructure for international offices in Dallas, Paris, Amsterdam, and Cyprus — achieving 99% availability and reducing troubleshooting time by 35% (~250 hours/year).
Implemented enterprise Papercut printing infrastructure that reduced printing waste and operational costs by £300K per year, while strengthening security through mandatory print release.
Developed and delivered comprehensive training programmes and technical documentation for Papercut and Avaya platforms, reducing ongoing support requirements by approximately 60%.
Managed and maintained enterprise network infrastructure supporting 13,000+ users across 50+ global sites at Citco, ensuring high availability and performance at scale.
Beyond the Keyboard
What managing infrastructure actually involves — vendors, budgets, incidents, and people — and what I've personally owned.
Own the full vendor lifecycle: evaluating and enrolling new providers, negotiating terms, and consolidating duplicate licences. Renegotiated existing contracts to reduce recurring licence and support costs, and enforced SLA accountability rather than accepting vendor defaults.
Trained and mentored our managed-service provider team — building runbooks, escalation paths, and standards so first-line and offshore teams resolve issues without me. The goal was always to make myself a single point of failure.
Run incidents from detection to post-mortem — whether I found them myself (monitoring, log review) or they escalated to me. That means owning the comms, the blameless root-cause analysis, and the preventive fix so the same page doesn't fire twice.
Managed infrastructure spend directly: tracking what each platform actually costs versus what it's used for, retiring under-used or unnecessary technology, and redirecting savings into capability. Cost decisions are engineering decisions — every idle licence is architecture debt.
Applied the same operating model to AI: decide which workloads get frontier models versus private models, set the access and data-handling rules, train people to use the tools properly, and audit that the rules hold — then adjust when they don't.
